By supporting the Valor Fund, we are able to bridge the gap between tuition and operating expenses at the school including the ability to hire and retain the best faculty and staff.
Tuition covers approximately 90% of the operating budget; therefore, 100% support of our Annual Fund is essential to the health of our school.
Valor Christian Academy is recognized by the IRS as a charitable organization under section 501(c)(3), and donations made to the foundation are fully tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.

GIVE by Gift of Appreciated Securities
Donating appreciated securities held for more than one year (stocks, bonds and/or mutual funds that have realized significant appreciation over time), is mutually beneficial to you and Valor Christian Academy.
- When donating these securities to Valor Christian Academy, you eliminate the capital gains tax that would occur if you sold the assets and donated the proceeds.
- You can also claim a fair market value charitable deduction for the tax year in which the gift is made and may choose to pass on that savings in the form of giving.
- Simultaneously, VCA will not pay taxes on these gifts of appreciated securities because we are a non-profit (501c3) organization.

GIVE with Corporate Matching Gifts
Many companies now have programs that match their employees’ charitable giving to approved non-profit organizations. Some companies even donate a monetary match for gifts of service or volunteerism for their employees. The human resources department within your company will furnish you with instructions on how to apply for the match if they participate.
